Day 01

Birdwatching in Leuser National Park and Bukit Lawang

  • Go birdwatching in Bukit Lawang as part of Leuser National Park with your Indonesian guide. Bukit Lawang is also famous for the critically endangered Sumatran orangutan.

  • As guides from Bukit Lawang, we also like to introduce you to the identity of the birds that live around these places.

  • Enjoy bird and nature walks toward the Landak River, including a visit to the bat cave.

  • Follow a path that leads through a mix of secondary forest, gardens, rubber plantations, and palm oil plantations.

Day 02

Birdwatching at Simalem Resort and Berastagi Villages

  • At Simalem Resort, a pearl of Lake Toba, enjoy birdwatching with the beautiful landscape of Lake Toba as your backdrop.

  • Then visit some tourist places and take a short birdwatching tour around local plantations in several villages of Berastagi.

Day 03

Mountain Rainforest Birdwatching in Silalahi and Return to Medan

  • Enjoy birdwatching in the mountainous rainforest, home to many species of songbirds.

  • Head back to Medan for your transfer out.
