The itinerary

Day 01

From Gaborone to Khutse and an Afternoon Game Drive

Depart from Gaborone on Friday in the mid-morning, around 10 AM, heading to Khutse Game Reserve, which is about 220 km from the city. The first 120 km is on a tarmac road, and the last 100 km is on a dirt road. This is where you start to feel the safari adventure. Drive through several villages such as Letlhakeng, Khudumelapye, Salajwe, and Kaudwane before finally reaching Khutse Game Reserve.
Arrive in Khutse in the afternoon after about 4 hours of driving with your Botswana safari guide. You will arrive just in time for an afternoon game drive, where you may see several semi-arid animals such as gemsbok, springbok, steenbok, eland, elephant, and predators such as lion, leopard, and wild dog.

After the game drive, have dinner and sleep in your bow tents.

Day 02

Morning and Afternoon Game Drives in Khutse

The next morning, have breakfast and then head out for an early morning game drive. Later, enjoy lunch on the second day and then take a 3-hour siesta.
Have another game drive in the afternoon and then dinner around an African bonfire.

Day 03

Final Game Drive and Return to Gaborone

On Sunday morning, do another game drive on your way out of the reserve.
Drive back to Gaborone and drop guests off at a hotel.
