Embark on this 8-day trek through the gorgeous Nepali trails to the magnificent Poon Hill. Pass through beautiful villages and forests, and take in breathtaking views of peaks like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Nilgiri from the vantage point. Visit scenic towns like Pokhara, Banthanti, and Ghorepani, and learn about the local culture.
Wake up at dawn to hike to the vantage point of Poon Hill and see panoramic views of the entire Annapurna mountain massif.

Drive to the lakeside city of Pokhara.
From Pokhara, the trekking trail opens out toward the village of Tikhedhungga.
Cross the river as the trekking trail finally reaches the celebrated village of Tikhedhungga.
Overnight stay at the guesthouse in Tikhedhungga (breakfast, lunch, and dinner included).
Departing Tikhedhungga, the trekking trail passes along demanding terrain to reach the village of Ghorepani. A stone stairway in the village is famous for containing more than 300 steps carved out of the land itself. The Magar village of Ulleri also appears along the way.
Then, the village of Banthanti graces the trekking path, from where the views of the Annapurna Mountains are magnificent. Rhododendron trees and azalea flowers ornament the trekking trail, making the hike through the landscape delightful. Pine and oak woods make the scenery verdant and lively.
The trekking trail finally reaches Ghorepani. Overnight stay at the guesthouse in Ghorepani (breakfast, lunch, and dinner included).
Wake up at dawn to hike to the vantage point of Poon Hill and see panoramic views of the entire Annapurna mountain massif. The sunrise view from Poon Hill is a breathtaking affair. Peaks like Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, Nilgiri, and more can be seen from here.
Walk to Tadapani, a beautiful village set at an altitude of 2,610 meters. Overnight stay at the guesthouse (breakfast, lunch, and dinner included).
Reach Ghandruk and walk downhill for approximately 3 hours to arrive at a setting with a few tea houses.
Pass by the settlement of Birethanti and continue to Nayapul to drive back to Pokhara. The trek back is a great way to take in the landscapes and villages along the way. The natural terrain is quite stunning and filled with tranquil moments and a serene atmosphere.

Drive back to Kathmandu. The return journey offers the same beautiful views of the landscape and hilly terrain, with winding roads cut into the sides of the hills, open valleys with deep river gorges, and distant mountain views.

Nepal Entry Visa: You can obtain a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. A multiple-entry tourist visa valid for 30 days can be obtained by paying USD 40 or the equivalent in foreign currency. Similarly, multiple-entry tourist visas for 90 days can be obtained by paying USD 100. Please bring 2 copies of passport-size photos.
The journey from Kathmandu to Pokhara is lovely, and you can enjoy sights of green hills and rivers along the way. Distant mountain peaks, terrace farms, small settlements, villages, and roadside markets can also be seen.
Upon arriving in Pokhara, you can enjoy panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Lamjung Himal, and Machhapuchhre.
It takes approximately 4 hours of hiking to reach Tikhe Dhunga from Pokhara. The trekking trail goes through beautiful villages and hills.
The Bhurungdi River and the Modi Khola decorate the landscape, and the path runs alongside them to first reach the village of Birethanti. Beautiful rhododendron trees line the hills, and the scenery is quite beautiful.
The drive back to Kathmandu offers the same beautiful views of the landscape and hilly terrain, with winding roads cut into the sides of the hills, open valleys with deep river gorges, and distant mountain views.
This is a short trekking journey that is easy to do and filled with natural and cultural hallmarks. It is one of the best treks in the Annapurna region.
