Giza, Museum & Khan el Khalili Tour
Meet your tour guide at your accommodation at 8:00 AM and begin your tour.
- Make your way to Giza and see the three great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Menkaure. The Great Pyramid of King Cheops is the only wonder of the seven wonders of the ancient world that is still standing today, although it is 2,000 years older than any other wonder on the list.
- Continue to the Great Sphinx, a limestone sculpture of a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human being. Visit the nearby Valley Temple.
- Enjoy a fun thirty-minute camel ride.
Enjoy your lunch with a set menu of grilled chicken/kebab and kofta at a restaurant overlooking the Sphinx and the Pyramids.
- Learn about Egyptian history at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. Accommodating the world’s biggest collection of ancient Egyptian relics, the Egyptian Museum is home to 120,000 Egyptian artefacts. The museum also houses a remarkable display of jewellery, including two stunning ivory and gold bracelets from the tomb of Tutankhamen.
- End the tour at Khan el Khalili Bazaar, one of Cairo's main attractions. The district of Khan el Khalili was originally a mausoleum of the Fatimid Caliphs, then a Turkish district under the Ottomans. Today it is a bustling bazaar where you will find many souvenir shops, Arabic coffee houses and restaurants.
