8 days Kenya and Tanzania Big 5 safari

This is a budget safari whereby you will join 6 other people in a van In Kenya. We keep the group small to avoid using a big truck which is not very mobile in the park .
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
At 8 o'clock you will be picked up from The Nairobi International airport and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the great rift valley view point where you will have a breathtaking view of the floor of the rift valley. We will use a private salon car to drive you up the road so that you catch up with the rest of the group.
Lunch will be provided on the way. In the evening after you check in depart for a game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve from 4 pm till late. Return back to the camp for a sumptuous dinner ending with good time for resting at lenchada Tourist Camp.
Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley is primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildbeeste migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Maasai mara is the the wonder of the world.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Reserve
Spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the Big Five. You will have picnic lunches in the Reserve as you scale the Mara beauty sitted at the banks of Mara river.
Optional: In the evening, Visit the local Masai village for a Masai cultural tour at USD 10 per person. Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Masai people.
A balloon safari at discounted USD 370 per person(optional) can be organised early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture.
Day 3: Depart Maasai Mara to Nairobi
Breakfast then You will enjoy the last early morning game drive in Mara Reserve . Thereafter commence drive to Nairobi and onward transport to Namanga border town of Kenya and Tanzania.
We will clear with customs the same day and pay our visas.
You will spend the night here.
Note, The Kenyan group ends in Nairobi and a small private car will drive you to Namanga border town another 2 Hours from Nairobi.
DAY 4 TANZANIA – Manyara national park
Lake Manyara National Park is dominated by the soda lake that extends over an area of 230 square kilometers or a third of the total area of the park. The park is a complex and exciting one, the ever-changing vegetation which starts with thick forests of mahogany, fig trees, and wild mango, fed by tens of underground streams which drain the Ngorongoro Highlands, provide a haven for colorful birds, monkeys, and shy dwarf antelopes.
DAY 5 TANZANIA- Serengeti
The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-manned lion prides feast on the abundant plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt the acacia trees lining the Seronera River, and on the other hand, a high density of cheetahs prowls the southeastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur there, alongside the spotted hyena.
As enduring as the game-viewing is the liberating sense of space that characterizes the Serengeti Plains, stretching across sunburned savanna to a shimmering golden horizon at the end of the earth. Yet after the rains, the golden expanse of grass is transformed into an endless green carpet flecked with wildflowers. There are also wooded hills and towering termite mounds, rivers lined with fig trees, and acacia woodland stained orange by dust
DAY 6 TANZANIA- Serengeti to Ngorongoro
DAY 7 TANZANIA- Ngorongoro
The Ngorongoro Crater is often called as the "Africa’s Eden." A visit to the crater is a main draw card for tourists coming to Tanzania and a definite world-class attraction. Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby while sleeping lions laze in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist.
DAY 8 – SHUTTLE BACK TO NAIROBI
The morning shuttle leaves at 8 and arrives at around 2 pm.

TRIP NOTES
All camping gear is provided in TANZANIA you don’t need any sleeping bags.
You will have a private Chef in your group of Tanzania which is normally 4 to 6 people, depending on the bookings that we have .
