Embark on a journey to visit the majestic monasteries and museums of Bhutan, including the Paro Rinpung Dzong, Folk Heritage Museum, Chimi Lhakhang and experience the majestic views of the Himalayas from the Dochula pass. Hike to the incredible Paro Valley, Motithang Takin Preserve and the Tiger's Nest Monastery. Also, explore the traditional villages- Yangthang, Chodeyphu and Thimphu.
Itinerary

Day 1- Arrival in Paro
- Arrive at Paro Airport, where your Bhutanese tour guide will receive you.
- After check-in, visit Rinpung Dzong and National Museum.
- Later, drive to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.
- In the evening, stroll around the town centre.

Day 2- Tiger’s Nest Monastery
- Today, hike to the famed Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
- In the afternoon, visit a farmhouse to get a glimpse of daily life in Bhutan.
- End your day with some archery practice and dress up in traditional Bhutanese attire.

Day 3- Paro – Chele La – Haa
- Start your day with a visit to Kila Gompa, the oldest nunnery in Bhutan.
- Continue to Chele La and enjoy the views.
- Drive to Haa Valley and spend the afternoon exploring the town.

Day 4- Yangthang – Talung – Khadey Gom
- Drive to the trailhead near Yangthang Village.
- From the village, hike to 300-year old Yangthang Gompa and continue to Talung through beautiful pine forests.
- Cross a famed wooden bridge – Chag Zam – at Talung, meadows and forests to reach Khadey Gom, your camp for the day.
Overnight at a camp in Khadey Gom.

Day 5- Khadey Gom – Saga La – Dongney Tsho
- From Khadey Gom, hike to Saga La and enjoy spectacular views of Jomolhari, Chaterake and Paro Valley.
- A 2-hour downhill hike through rhododendron forest brings you to a meadow at Dongney Tsho. The campsite sits amid fir trees next to Dongney Tsho.

Day 6- Genchu Zam – Balaka Chhu – Paro
- Descend to Genchu Zam. The downhill hike takes you through an area rich in Himalayan flora and fauna.
- Continue towards Chodeyphu, a picturesque village at the foot of Laum Bjara (Foggy Mountain).
- An hour-long hike from the village brings you to Balaka Chhu, where the trek ends. Your guide and driver will meet you at the end of the trek here.
- Drive to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7- Paro – Thimphu
- Drive to Thimphu and, en route, visit Tamchog Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to 14th – century saint and engineer Thangtong Gyalpo.
- Upon reaching Thimphu, visit Great Buddha Dordenma, an enormous statue of Shakyamuni Buddha perched on a hilltop.
- Afterwards, drive to Motithang Takin Preserve, a wildlife reserve for Takin.
- Make a trip to Memorial Chorten, a major landmark of the city and a place for daily worship.
- End your day with a visit to Tashichhoedzong, the majestic fortress of Thimphu Valley.
- Afterwards, if your trip coincides with the weekend, the guide will take you to Thimphu’s Weekend Market.

Day 8- Thimphu – Dochu La – Punakha
- Check out the major museums of Thimphu - Postal Museum, National Textile Museum, and National Institute of Zorig Chusum.
- Visit Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory and learn about the ancient process of papermaking.
- Afterwards, drive to Punakha – the old capital of Bhutan – via Dochu La, a mountain pass between Thimphu and Punakha known for its 108 gleaming white chortens and Druk Wangyal Lhakhang.

Day 9- Punakha – Thimphu
- In the morning, go to Chimi Lhakhang (The Temple of Divine Madman), a monastery built in honour of an eccentric lama, Drukpa Kunley.
- Afterwards, hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a beautiful temple near Yabesa Village in Punakha Valley.
- Visit majestic Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful fortresses in Bhutan.
- See the longest suspension bridge of the country located behind the fortress and enjoy the gorgeous views of the valley.
- Drive back to Thimphu in the afternoon.
Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 10- Departure
- Drive to Paro International Airport for onward departure.
