Have breakfast at the hotel and go for a city tour of Colombo, commencing with a visit to Fort and Pettah, a commercial hub with offices and shopping areas located near the oldest colonial hotel, GOH. It offers a fantastic view of Colombo Harbour, the lighthouse with a clock tower older than Big Ben in London, and is close to the President's House and the Old Parliament.
Afterwards, proceed along the main street, passing by the old Dutch Museum, Belfry, and the old City Hall, which houses puppets of earlier governors of Sri Lanka.
Make a stop at the Old Dutch Hospital, with shops and restaurants facing Sri Lanka's twin tower buildings. Continue to the old racecourse, with its maze of colonial-era buildings, restaurants, and shopping arcade, passing through Colombo City Hall, a mini replica of the White House in Washington, DC.
Then indulge in some shopping in Colombo.
Thereafter, proceed to the airport to board your return flight.

Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. The name refers to a site of historical and archaeological significance dominated by a massive column of rock nearly 200 metres (660 ft) high. According to the ancient Sri Lankan chronicle, the Culavamsa, this site was selected by King Kasyapa (477 - 495 CE) for his new capital. He built his palace on top of this rock and decorated its sides with colourful frescoes.
Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's splendid medieval capital, was established as the first city of the land in the 11th century A.D. It replaced Anuradhapura, which was plundered, made desolate, and laid bare by invading armies from South India. Three kings dominate the chronicles of the city and the period. The city reached a dazzling but brief zenith in the 12th century and, though ravaged by invasion in the centuries that followed, much evidence of its old grandeur and glory remains. The ruins of the ancient city stand on the east shore of a large artificial lake, the Topa Wewa Lake, or Parakrama Samudraya.
Dambulla Rock Temple is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings.
Ramboda Falls is 109 m (358 ft) high and the 11th-highest waterfall in Sri Lanka and the 729th-highest waterfall in the world. It is situated in the Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. It was formed by Panna Oya, which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya. The altitude of the falls is 945 m (3,100 ft) above sea level.
Sri Dalada Maligawa, or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.
Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, are about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka. It attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is near the Mahaweli River, the longest in Sri Lanka, and is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4,000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees. Attached to it is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres.
Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple: Gawp at the tall statue of Hanuman and enjoy the incredible views from the top of Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple. Built and maintained by the Chinmaya Mission and devoted to Lord Hanuman, legend has it that the great Hindu god once visited the site of the temple. Inside, you can admire the famous 4.8 m (16 ft) tall statue of Hanuman, carved into a striking figure from black granite.
