Lesedi Village Cultural Experience from Victoria Falls
Your guide will pick you up from your lodge or hotel in Victoria Falls at the scheduled time. After a brief introduction, enjoy a comfortable 15-minute drive out of town toward Lesedi Village.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by local villagers and introduced to the cultural setting of a traditional Zimbabwean homestead. Your guide will explain the village layout, customs, and daily life.
Engage in open conversations with village residents and elders. Learn about traditional family structures, farming and livestock practices, cultural beliefs and customs, and daily routines and rural lifestyle.
This is a relaxed, interactive experience that allows you to ask questions and connect with the community.
Walk through the homestead with your guide and host family. You will see traditional huts, cooking areas, granaries, vegetable gardens, and livestock spaces.
This guided walk offers a genuine look at rural living.
Observe how traditional meals are prepared using clay stoves and natural ingredients. Depending on the day, guests may participate in grinding maize, stirring sadza, preparing vegetables, and roasting groundnuts.
Guests will then taste a selection of local foods, giving you an authentic cultural flavour experience.
After the cultural experience, say your goodbyes to the host family. Board your vehicle for a 15-minute drive back to your hotel or lodge, where the tour concludes.
