Islamic Cairo Landmarks and Khan el Khalili Walk
In the morning, your private tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo in a deluxe air-conditioned car or van to visit the Citadel of Salah el-Din and its museums.
Proceed to the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, where you can enjoy panoramic views over the whole of old Cairo.
Then visit the huge and famous Sultan Hassan Mosque, an ancient college renowned for its wonderful design and history. Also see the Refae Mosque, a royal mosque that contains the tombs of King Fouad, his mother, the last Shah of Iran, and King Farouk of Egypt.
Transfer to the old Islamic street and walk along El-Moez Street. Be fascinated by the historic atmosphere of the old cafes and souvenir shops. You will also find Islamic art carved into the historic mosques and houses, which you can visit with your guide.
Continue walking to the old bazaars of Khan el Khalili, where you can also find cafes and local restaurants.
