Day 01

Uluguru Mountains Hike to Jiwe La Duma and Lupanga Peak

Meet your tour guide at an agreed-upon location in Morogoro and begin the tour.
Set out on a hike to the top of the Uluguru Mountains. The climb takes you through farmlands, into the forest along the ridge top, and finally up a steep slope to the summit.
Take a rest at Jiwe La Duma, 1,797 metres above sea level.
Continue hiking another 540 metres to see Lupanga Peak.
Look out for birds such as the Uluguru Bush-shrike Flycatcher, Loveridge's Sunbird, and Livingstone's Turaco.
You may also see mammals such as the blue monkey (Cercopithecus mitis), black-and-white colobus (Colobus guereza), and plants such as begonias and fern trees.
Head back to your hotel or accommodation at the end of the tour.
