Day 01

Skeleton Gorge Hike to Maclear's Beacon

At 8 am, your Cape Town guide will pick you up from your accommodation, provided you are staying near the CBD.
Start the hike from the Kloof Nek parking area or Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Ascend via Kasteels Poort or the Skeleton Gorge trail.
From here, head to Maclear's Beacon, a triangulation station used in the calculation of the curvature of the Earth.
From Maclear's Beacon, either descend via Platteklip Gorge or take the cable car down (not included).
