The itinerary

Day 01

Palangka Raya to Koran Resort in Sebangau National Park

Depart from the city of Palangka Raya at 08:00 am and head south to Kereng Bangkirai village, the entrance gate to Sebangau National Park.
After registration, continue by small boat along the Sebangau River to Koran Resort. The boat has no roof because it passes through a narrow river. During the journey, there are many things to observe, including growing plants, wooden trees, medicinal plants, insects, and wildlife. If you are lucky enough to spot them, take care with your steps so that you do not fall into the peat soil.
The journey then continues to the base camp at Koran Resort.
After arriving at the base camp, rest and enjoy lunch. Later, you may go bird watching, swimming, or simply enjoy the natural atmosphere of Sebangau.
At noon, continue upstream along the Sebangau River on a round trip to see the vegetation of the peat swamp forest.
In the afternoon, after finishing the activities at the camp, return to Kereng Bangkirai village.
Then proceed to the guest house in Palangka Raya.

What to bring

For activities in Sebangau National Park, it is advisable to wear shoes suitable for forest trekking, trousers, clothes that are not brightly colored, a change of clothes after trekking, long sleeves, a hat, and sandals for activities at the camp and on the wooden trail.
