15-Day Namibia Desert and Safari Tour with Sossusvlei and Etosha

• Pick up from the airport.

• Drive through Windhoek to Windhoek West Guest House.

A township tour and dinner can be arranged at the traveler's expense.

• Depart from Windhoek West Guest House at 08:00 am for the Kalahari Desert.

• Encounter the spectacular Fish River Canyon.

• Travel on the main road and keep a sharp lookout for the unique Namib wild horses.

• Visit Kolmanskop, a ghost town where bigger and better diamonds were found along the coast.

• Drive towards Sossusvlei Dune Lodge, travelling on small gravel roads and passing some tiny rural communities along the way.

• Early in the morning, we will visit the Sesriem Gate, if we slept outside the park, to go to Sossusvlei.

• Start by climbing picturesque Dune 45 and experience the beauty and vastness of the orange-colored landscape.

• Take a 5 km off-road drive to Dead Vlei, Big Daddy, and Sossusvlei, a vast desert pan where dried-up ancient acacias stand silent in an impressive open-air gallery.

• Climb one of the highest dunes, called Big Daddy or Big Mama.

• Return to Windhoek.

• Drop off at Gocheganas Lodge.

• Pick up at Gocheganas Lodge at 8:00 am.

• Stop over at the craft market in Okahandja.

• Arrive at Waterberg Plateau Park.

• Depart from Waterberg Plateau Park for Etosha National Park.

• Join the Halali game drive/safari in the morning hours.

• Return for breakfast after 3 hours of game driving. Etosha National Park is one of the most loved parks in Africa.

• After breakfast, go on another game drive to visit a couple of waterholes in the area around Halali Resort. Lunch will be served at Halali on the client's account.

• Leaving Etosha National Park, we begin our journey south with a relatively short drive to the small town of Kamanjab.

• In the area, we will visit a Himba village.

• Join the Twyfelfontein game drive to look for desert-adapted elephants and other wildlife adapted to the desert, and in the afternoon visit the ancient Bushman rock engravings on our own (NTTS).

• Depart early in the morning and travel through Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain.

• Stop over at Uis, an old mining town.

• Travel through the Skeleton Coast and Henties Bay.

• Visit Cape Cross.

• Arrive at Swakopmund.
