Day 01

Banteay Srei, Preah Khan and Sunset at Pre Rup

  • Meet your tour guide and visit Banteay Srei Temple, a 10th-century Cambodian temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.

  • Continue to Banteay Samré, a temple at Angkor built during the reigns of Suryavarman II and Yasovarman II in the early 12th century. It is a Hindu temple in the Angkor Wat style.

  • Visit Preah Khan Temple, a complex situated at the northern edge of the Angkor Archaeological Park. It is one of the most significant buildings erected during the ancient Khmer Empire and was dedicated by the great king Jayavarman VII to his father.

  • See Neak Pean at Angkor, Cambodia, an artificial island with a Buddhist temple on a circular island in Jayatataka Baray.

  • Explore Ta Som Temple, located in the northeast section of Angkor Archaeological Park, on the east side of the man-made lake called Javatataka Baray.

  • Head to East Mebon Temple, a 10th-century temple at Angkor, Cambodia. Built during King Rajendravarman, it stands on what was once an artificial island at the center of the now-dry East Baray reservoir.

  • End the day with sunset at Pre Rup Temple. A favourite Angkor sunset spot, Pre Rup is a 3-tier mountain temple topped with five sanctuary towers, built in 961 AD as a temple to the Hindu god Shiva.

  • Head to Baphuon Temple, one of the quieter main Angkor ruins, despite being almost right next to Bayon Temple, with the Terrace of the Elephants nearby.

  • See Ta Prohm Temple in Siem Reap, Cambodia, built in the Bayon style primarily in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara.
