From the itinerary
At a glance
Day by day
Meet your tour guide at the agreed-upon location.
Enjoy sightseeing in Sofia. If you arrive late, the sightseeing will be postponed until the next day.
Travel to the Rila Mountain Range and settle into the resort of Panichishte in the Rila Mountains.
Drive to the lower station of the chair lift, which will take you to the Seven Rila Lakes.
Go hiking along the main ridge of the mountain, from where you will enjoy views of all seven lakes.
After the hike, continue toward Mt. Malyovitsa, from where you will descend down the valley.
Return to the resort for an overnight stay.
Travel to Borovets Resort, where you will take a gondola lift to Yastrebets Hut.
At the end of the day, take the gondola lift back to the starting point and then transfer to Govedartsi village for an overnight stay.
Hike uphill to the highest point, where you will cross the main ridge of the mountain.
Continue downhill to Kirilova Polyan, where your transportation will be waiting to take you to the famous Rila Monastery.
Return to your hotel in Bansko village for an overnight stay.
Take a short transfer to the starting point and hike to the summit of Mt. Vihren.
Have a lunch break at the top.
Descend back to your vehicle.
Drive back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Take a chair lift to Bezbog Hut.
Hike to Mt. Dzhano and then continue downhill to the Kremenski Lakes.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Return to Sofia. An optional guided sightseeing tour is possible if you missed any sightseeing on the first day.
Drive to the airport.
