The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Siem Reap and Kompong Phluk or City Tour

  • Meet the tour representative, who will pick you up from Siem Reap International Airport and take you to the hotel.
  • Check in at the hotel, meet the tour guide, and begin your journey to visit Kompong Phluk Floating Village, located 30 kilometres southeast of Siem Reap.
  • See how the people have courageously adapted to some of the most unimaginable conditions, all with big smiles on their faces. Enjoy the beautiful atmosphere in this one-of-a-kind village from the comfort of the boats. You will also visit fish and crocodile farms.
  • Return to the hotel.

  • Meet the tour representative in the afternoon, who will pick you up from Siem Reap International Airport and take you to the hotel.
  • Check in at the hotel and meet the tour guide for a city tour, shopping, and time to explore the city's old market and nightlife until 09:00 pm.

Day 02

Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm, and Angkor Wat

  • Have breakfast at 08:30 am, then head out with your guide to Angkor Thom, the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. Starting at the south gate, you will explore the complex and visit the central Bayon temple, the 3-tiered Hindu Baphoun temple, and the Terrace of the Elephants, which is part of the walled city.
  • Visit the Ta Prohm jungle temple, built by King Jayavarman VII in 1186. You may recognize the temple and the jungle that has engulfed it from the Hollywood movie Tomb Raider.
  • Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the iconic Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 03

Phnom Kulen Mountain and Countryside Villages

  • Immerse yourself in the history of the Khmer Empire on a full-day tour from Siem Reap to the sacred mountain of Phnom Kulen.
  • Have lunch at a local restaurant. On the way back, you will stop at a local village to learn how sugar is produced from sugar palm plants.
  • Take a countryside tour from the southwest of the town to remote villages.
  • Enjoy the countryside scenery, including villages, traditional houses, green rice fields, the people, their culture, and the wonderful smiles of their children.
  • Head back to the hotel.

Day 04

Koh Ker Temple Complex Excursion

  • Start out with the 130-kilometre drive through the scenic countryside from Siem Reap to the remote site of the Koh Ker temple group. The temple complex at Koh Ker, located to the northeast of Siem Reap, represents the remnants of the capital of the Khmer Empire from 928-944 A.D. It is filled with beautiful tropical landscapes and offers a rewarding visit to this remote archaeological site.

Departure Transfer to the Airport

  • Enjoy free time until your transfer to Siem Reap International Airport. Transfer from the hotel in Siem Reap to Phnom Penh International Airport is possible on request for an extra charge.

    • No smoking, drinking alcohol, or touching the carvings is permitted in and around the temples.
    • Closure of site: The third level of Angkor Wat is not open during Buddhist holy days.
