Buenos Aires Icons and Historic Neighbourhoods

• Head to the Recoleta area and cemetery, including Evita, followed by Plaza de Mayo, the Pink House, and the Pope Cathedral. Visit the San Telmo area and its feria if it is a Sunday, as well as Palermo's trendy parks area.

• Explore the Ateneo Bookstore, if the rhythm works well for a full-day 6-hour tour, and see the Colón Theatre from the outside.

• Visit the Obelisk on central 9 de Julio Avenue and Puerto Madero. Watch local events on the streets and enjoy a one-hour lunch stop.
