The itinerary

Day 01

Bagan Temples and Sunset Views

  • Pick up from your hotel by your Burmese tour guide, then begin the journey with a visit to a colourful local market where you can learn about everyday life in the area.

  • Continue with a visit to the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda for an introduction to Bagan's rich history, followed by Wetkyi-In Gyubyaukgyi Temple with its exquisite Jataka mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple.

  • Enjoy lunch at a restaurant and transfer to your hotel to relax. In the afternoon, visit Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece and one of Bagan's most beautiful temples.

  • Continue to Thatbyinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, and the massive Dhammayangyi Temple, noted for its remarkable brickwork.

  • Continue to an elevated viewpoint to watch an unforgettable sunset over the plains before returning to the hotel via Nyaung La Phet Hill, a temple, or a viewing tower.

Day 02

Minnanthu Village and Ancient Temples

  • Visit the rural village of Minnanthu, where you can see cotton weaving and crop harvesting in the fields.

  • Continue to other famous temples of Bagan, such as Laymyathnar Monastery Complex, Phyathonsu, and Nandamannya, known for its 13th-century mural paintings.

  • Have lunch at a local restaurant and return to the hotel for a few hours to enjoy swimming.

  • Later in the afternoon, continue to Manuha Temple for its huge Buddha images, Nanpaya Temple, built with sandstone, and Gyubyaukgyi Temple (Myinkaba), where you can see colourful mural paintings from the old Bagan period. If you prefer to visit lacquerware workshops, you will be assisted in reaching the right place.

  • In the evening, watch a beautiful sunset and return to the hotel.
