Explore Blagaj, Počitelj, and Mostar in Herzegovina
- Get picked up from your hotel or Sarajevo city centre and drive south into the Herzegovina region.
- After passing through a mountainous area, enjoy the Mediterranean landscape and emerald-green river valleys.
- After 2.5 hours on the road, arrive at your first stop - Blagaj.
- Visit the 16th-century Tekija-Islamic Dervish Monastery, situated beside a cliff next to the source of the Buna River. Explore this beautiful and serene Islamic site with your guide.
- Enjoy lunch next to the river.
- Head to Počitelj, a beautiful historic site sitting along the Neretva River.
- Stroll around this little ancient town, climbing its hills. See breathtaking views from the fortress and browse for souvenirs in a boutique.
- Drive to Mostar, the UNESCO-listed town. Stari Most, Mostar's symbolic 16th-century icon, was destroyed during the war. The reconstructed Stari Most and old city became a symbol of reconciliation and coexistence among diverse cultural, ethnic, and religious communities. - Spend some free time wandering along the main street, searching for unique souvenirs, or trying authentic Bosnian coffee in a traditional kahvana.
