The itinerary

Day 01

We meet up outside Hlöllabátar, facing Ingólfstorg Square and the two tall stone pillars.

We meet up outside Hlöllabátar, facing Ingólfstorg Square and the two tall stone pillars. CenterHotel Plaza is to your right. Benches, tables, and a covered ceiling make it a comfortable spot to wait.

The meeting point:

 

Our 1st stop is the legendary Seabaron by the old Reykjavik harbor

Here we sample Icelandic Lobster soup, a small piece of Minke whale steak and if you are up for it ... a small piece of the dreaded Icelandic Fermented shark

Our 2nd stop if they are open is a visit to the food stalls of the Reykjavik Flea market

Our 3rd stop is the fast food institution of Iceland = The one and only hot dog stand Bæjarins Besta

This hot dog stands has been in operation since 1937

Our 4th stop is a local favourite for it´s street food style

Here we stop for their legendary and traditional lamb soup which is a hotspot for locals and tourists alike 

Our 5th stop is at a local delicacy store

Here we try ourselves on a variety of traditional und unique Icelandic foods 

Our 6th and final stop is a popular restaurant

Here we eat salted fish, a very traditional and delicious meal. We also have the opportunity to try our fermented Brennivin spirit - also known as "Black Death"
While the name is more for show, the taste is quite "unique"!
You should definitely try it out.
