Explore the ancient ruins of the historical Sri Lankan cities of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Mihinthale. Visit the ruins of the Polonnaruwa Kingdom and admire the splendid architecture of Sigiriya, the Lion Rock. Also, learn about the former kingdoms that have shaped this country and visit the birthplace of Buddhism, the Mihinthale temple.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport - Anuradhapura
- You will be picked up from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Sri Lanka by your local tour guide.
- Explore historical places in the ancient city of Anuradhapura with the Sri Lankan tour guide.
Day 2: Visit Polonnaruwa
- Visit the second kingdom of Sri Lanka, Polonnaruwa, which hosts a great historical value as same as Anuradhapura with its unique beauty. Commence with visiting the ruins of the Polonnaruwa Kingdom.
- Visit Sirgirya's Lion Rock Fortress, an ancient rock fortress with archaeological significance. See the massive lion-shaped gateway and beautiful frescoes inside the fortress. Here, guests can have a different experience.
Day 3: Mihinthale - Bandaranaike International Airport
- Visit the historical Mihinthale Temple, pagodas and the ancient rock which is considered as the place where "Theravada Buddhism" came to Sri Lanka.
- At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back at the airport for your onward flight.
