Day 01

Sanganeer Block Printing Workshop Experience

Take a round of the factory and learn about the different types of natural dyes used in printing.
See samples of hand block-printed textiles.
Learn the Sanganeer printing process so you can understand the technique before starting your own printing.
See live plants and bushes, parts of which are used in vegetable printing.

At the end of the workshop, you will learn:

How to do Sanganeer printing using natural dyes.
How to make colours naturally colourfast.
To begin your own hands-on printing experience, you may select a carved wooden block from the available blocks. You will be able to print one piece of a cotton scarf, provided in the program kit, under the supervision of the senior craftsperson. You will work on the Sanganeer printing technique.

What's Not Included

You can print extra items (scarf, stole, cushion cover, cloth bag, table-cover, apron, and T-shirt) at extra cost.
Lunch: you can order a vegetarian lunch at extra cost (non-veg and eggs are not allowed in the compound).
Transport: contact us for an arrangement of a pool car (pick-up and drop-off from Jaipur city).
