The itinerary

1
Day 01

Arrival in Islamabad and Drive to Naran

  • Meet and greet your tour representative at Islamabad International Airport.
  • Drive to Naran with your Pakistani tour guide.
  • Enjoy lunch en route.
  • Arrive in Naran, check in, and enjoy some free time.

Dinner and overnight stay in Naran.

Day 02

Drive from Naran to Hunza via Babusar Pass

  • Have breakfast and drive to Gilgit-Hunza via Babusar Pass (4173 m).
  • Drive to Chilas for lunch.
  • After lunch, continue to Gilgit-Hunza with your Pakistani tour guide.
  • Make a short stop at the Rakaposhi viewpoint.
  • Arrive in Hunza Karimabad and enjoy your free time.

Dinner at Pizza Pamir and overnight stay in Hunza.

Day 03

Journey from Hunza to Shimshal

  • Depart for Shimshal and pass through beautiful villages on the way, including Shiskat, Gulmit, Ghulkin, Hussaini, and Passu.

  • After Passu, leave the Karakoram Highway and drive on the narrow road between the mountains along the Shimshal River.

  • Head to the guesthouse for an overnight stay.

Day 04

Trek from Shimshal to Pasthfuzin

  • Start the trek and cross the Shimshal River to Bandsar, a small village that is part of Shimshal.

  • After 2 hours, reach Pamirthung, where you cross the Pamirthung River by suspension bridge to Caesar, which involves an almost steep climb.

  • Have lunch at Garsar and enjoy views of the Yazghal glacier, White Horn, Distgir Sar, and other famous mountains from this location. The Kurdapin glacier is also visible from this point.

  • After a rest, continue trekking to Pasthfuzin, located in a narrow valley and known as a very comfortable and beautiful place for camping.

Camp overnight.

Day 05

Trek from Pasthfuzin to Arbabpurin

  • The second day of the trek involves a steep ascent and descent to Woochfurzin, which takes 1 hour to climb, followed by crossing some difficult parts of the trail to Pamirthung.
  • Cross the bridge called Chichan Bridge, which was donated by a person to the community of Shimshal, and reach Parin.
  • Enjoy lunch in Parin.
  • Continue the climb to reach Parinsar. Parinsar offers the best view of Maidur Valley, Chashkin (6000 m) peaks, and Mangligh Sar (6050 m), followed by a traverse walk to Arbabpurin.

Day 06

Trek to the Summer Pasture of Shujarab

  • Today, trek to Shujarab, the summer pasture owned by the people of Shimshal. Every year, about 10-20 families from Shimshal come here for 6 months, from May to October, with their cattle.

  • Here, taste the local cheese and milk.

Camp overnight.

Day 07

Climb Toward Shimshal Pass

  • Start the day with a steep trek from Shujarab to Shimshal Pass.

  • Midway, see two beautiful lakes, Lupwhooyee and Zaklayee, and camp beside the lake.

Camp overnight.

Day 08

Summit Climb to Mangaligh Sar

  • Climb Mangaligh Sar, starting at 3 in the morning.

  • After 9 hours, reach the summit.

  • Head back to the campsite for the night.

Day 09

Return Trek to Arbabpurin

  • Have breakfast and trek back along the same route to Arbabpurin.

Camp overnight.

Day 10

Trek Back to Pasthfuzin

  • Have breakfast and trek back to Pasthfuzin.

Camp overnight.

Day 11

Trek to Shimshal Village

  • Trek for 3-4 hours.

  • Arrive at Shimshal Village and head to the guesthouse.

Day 12

Drive to Hunza with Fort Visits and Sunset

  • Have breakfast and drive to Hunza.

  • Visit Baltit Fort and Altit Fort.

  • In the evening, visit Eagle's Nest for sunset.

  • Head back to the hotel for the night.

Day 13

Return to Naran via the Karakoram Highway

  • Head to Naran on the Karakoram Highway via Babusar Top.

  • Stop for lunch and photography.

  • Proceed to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 14

Drive to Islamabad with Optional Taxila Visit

  • Depart for Islamabad.

  • Visit the historical Taxila Museum, if time allows. If not, drive straight to Islamabad and spend the evening shopping or exploring the city.

  • Drive to the airport for your return flight.
