The itinerary

Day 01

Fly from Kathmandu to Paro

• Board a Druk Air flight to Paro. It is one of the most spectacular mountain flights. Whether flying along the Himalayan range from Kathmandu or over the foothills, each flight is a mesmerizing feat and offers an exciting descent into the Kingdom. 

• On arrival at the airport, you will be received by the representative and then transferred to the hotel.

• In the evening, stroll around the Paro Market. Have dinner & stay the night at the hotel.

Day 02

Full day Sightseeing in Paro (Tiger Nest Monastery)

• After breakfast, drive north of Paro valley to the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong. From this fort, Bhutanese repelled several invasions by Tibetan armies. 
• Visit the nearby traditional Bhutanese Farm House, which offers good insight into the lifestyle of local people. 
• Then, take an excursion to the Taktsang Monastery, one of the most famous Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery; hence, it is called the “Tiger’s Nest”. The excursion to the monastery takes about 5 hours for a round trip. 
• On your way back to Paro, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom.
• Enjoy a farewell dinner at an authentic Nepalese restaurant with a cultural performance.

Fly back to Kathmandu

• After breakfast in Paro, you will board a flight back to Kathmandu.
