Karla and Bhaja Caves Excursion from Pune

Head to the Karla Caves, about 55 km from Pune. The Buddhist caves at Karla are among the finest examples of ancient rock-cut caves to be found in India.
Proceed to the Bhaja Caves, about 59 km from Pune. Bhaja Caves date almost to the 1st century AD and are believed to be one of the oldest Buddhist religious centres in this area. The caves are right next to Lohagad Fort.
