It is the coldest part of the country, as it is 5000 feet above sea level and is located at the heart of Hill Country. Tourists also know it as "little England" because the town is well planned and retains its English style. The cool, calm climate, gorges, rolling tea plantations that produce the best "Ceylon tea", and the breathtakingly beautiful waterfalls make Nuwara Eliya one of the most beautiful towns in the world. Nuwara Eliya is a peaceful place, perfect for nature lovers and ramblers.
