Day by day
Arrive in Tunxi, the downtown area of Huangshan City. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.
Take a bus ride to Mt. Huangshan Scenic Area and ride the Yuping Cable-car up the mountain from the western side.
Embark on a three-and-a-half-hour hike for fantastic views, including Jade Screen Peak. See the Guest Pine Tree, Lotus Peak, Turtle Peak, Heavenly Sea Pavilion, Bright Top Peak, the Flying-over Rock, the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, and the Grand Canyon of the West Sea.
Overnight up in the mountain.
Watch the sunrise and then enjoy views from Lion's Peak, where the
Spend time visiting Shexian, a county well known for its long history and rich cultural legacy.
See the unique Xuguo Archway, with its eight pillars and splendid craftsmanship.
Go to Doushan Street, a small zigzag alley in the downtown area.
Travel to Tangmo Water Village and the Tangyue Archway Complex, a group of seven arches built during the Ming and Qing dynasties and erected in the order of loyalty, filial piety, chastity, and righteousness. The complex is the only one of its kind found in China today.
Return to Tunxi in the afternoon.
After dinner, a performance of the local Huangmei opera can be arranged if available for the day. The ticket fee is to be paid by the traveller.
Overnight in Tunxi.
Take a leisurely trip to Old Street, the best-preserved ancient street in China, built during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was originally the centre of the old town section.
Pay a visit to Wancui Mansion, a private museum with many valuables.
Go to the unique Hukaiwen Ink Stick Factory, where ink stick - one of the Four Treasures of Study for ancient scholars - is produced.
Visit the Huangshan Municipal Museum, which houses many precious cultural and historical relics.
