This 20-day journey leads you through the Khurdopin Pass and across Snow Lake, a high-altitude glacial basin at the heart of the mountains. The route
The fine print
Cost includes:
Accommodation: twin-sharing basis at standard category hotels in towns, and 2-person dome tents during the trek.
Meals: half board at hotels and full board during the trek.
Transport: air-conditioned transport on the Karakoram Highway, and soft-top 4x4 jeeps to the trek head and trek end.
Camping facilities: 2-person dome tents with mattresses, dining tent floor seating, a kitchen tent with a complete kitchenette and staff, and a toilet tent.
Portage: 15 high porters for the pass and 15 low porters from Shimshal to Abdul Joshi Camp, then high-altitude porters. Carrying service is provided at the end of the trek.
Kitchen staff: 1 chief cook.
Guide: experienced English-speaking mountain guide.
Domestic and international airfare, and airport taxes.
Any expense due to forced measures, flight cancellation, landslides, natural calamities, acts of God, or force majeure beyond the control of Rock Valley Tours, their staff, and suppliers.
Any expense of a personal nature not mentioned above.
Trekking terms and conditions:
Every member must keep his or her CNIC or passport.
Members have to report 24 hours before departure time.
Only 10 kg cargo bags are allowed, and every member is responsible for carrying his or her own luggage.
Travel and health insurance.
Covid-19 PCR test.
Important:
Foreign clients must share a copy of their passport, 2 passport-size photographs, and full details for trek permit requirements.
If any member leaves the trek at any stage, the organization will not be liable to refund the payment.
Terms and conditions: using drugs or intoxication of any kind is strictly prohibited.
If anyone is caught using any kind of substance on buses or during the trip, they will be expelled from the trip on the spot. That person will not be eligible for any kind of refund.
We reserve the right to cancel the trip without prior notice for any reason deemed appropriate.
In such a case, the registered participants will receive a full refund.
On an adventure trip of this type, weather, local politics, transport, or a multitude of other factors beyond the control of the organizers can result in a change of itinerary.
It is, however, very unlikely that the itinerary would be substantially altered. If alterations are necessary, the group leader and guide will decide on the best alternative, taking into consideration the best interests of the whole group.
Smoking in the mode of transportation is strictly prohibited.
Participants must hold a valid computerized CNIC or passport card.
Time management and punctuality are strictly recommended.
Participants are advised to use non-slippery shoes, boots, joggers, or DMS. Participants must not wear heels or dress shoes.
On steep ascents in mountainous areas, the air conditioning on the buses will operate on an on-off basis to keep the vehicles from overheating.
RVT will not be responsible for any injury, damage, or loss.
