9-Day Kenya and Tanzania Safari with Masai Mara and Serengeti

• We recommend flying into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) early today for a private transfer to Nairobi, where the rest of the day can be spent at leisure. We will be staying at Osoita Lodge, which is beautifully located close to Nairobi National Park and is a perfect place to prepare for your adventure.

• Meet your safari driver-guide at Osoita Lodge for a short safari briefing and equipment check.

• Enjoy an early wildlife safari drive when animals are most active.

• You may opt to visit a Masai village, learn to dance like a warrior, stop in the Manyatta (family compound), and learn about this nomadic culture.

• Set out on an early morning game drive and return to your camp for breakfast.

• After breakfast, spend a full day in the park with a packed lunch in search of its popular residents, including the well-known predators and their opponents such as zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, and the dangerous crocodiles in the Mara River.

• Spend a full day in the vast plains of the Mara in search of the Big Five as you explore the famous Mara Reserve. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives.

• After an early breakfast, check out, collect your lunch boxes, and leave for Isibania, with an opportunity for en-route game viewing.

• Arrive at Isibania in time for visa and immigration formalities, then proceed to the Serengeti.

• After breakfast, head towards the western reaches of Serengeti National Park, also known as the Western Corridor.

• Enjoy a game drive en route from the Seronera area to the Western Corridor.

• Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge.

• After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area. The wildebeest migration can normally be found in the Western Corridor in June, depending on rainfall patterns.

• Drive through the Serengeti with the aim of viewing the migration crossing the Grumeti River. The Great Migration is an astonishing race for life and an incredible sight to behold. The greatest wildlife phenomenon of them all, it is an experience that will leave you completely speechless.

• Drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. This is one of Tanzania's smaller parks, but it still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. The lakeshore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive tree-climbing lions. There are also a surprising number of other large mammals, and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop.

• In the late afternoon, make the short journey from the park to Arusha.

• After breakfast or lunch at the hotel, drive straight to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight back home. This marks the end of our safari service.
