Manta & Montecristi Highlights Tour
The first stop will be the Fish Market, where you will see the fish that come into the city and meet the fishermen.
The next stop is the boatyard, where you see the beauties that sail.
Head to Montecristi, called so for its hats, which is merely 15 minutes from Manta. This city has become an icon for Ecuadorians; many visitors see how the "Montecristi" hats are woven.
Visit Ciudad Alfaro, a complex built to honour the ex-President Eloy Alfaro, who, despite being a wealthy man, fought against economic inequality. The last constitution was also signed here in 2008.
Visit the food court at Montecristi for some fresh coffee.
Finally, head to Pacoche Forest or the rain forest, where you will experience the micro-climate caused by the meeting of the Humboldt current and the Nino current. You will also see wild nature in this protected area with howler monkeys, panthers, sloths, and more.
