Dakshinkali, Pharping, Chobhar and Kirtipur
Meet your local tour guide in the hotel lobby at 9:00.
Drive 22 km to reach Dakshinkali Temple. This temple is situated on the bank of a river at the foothill of a hill near the town of Pharping. You will climb many stairs to reach the main temple and an old temple of the Mother Goddess on top of a nearby hill.
Continue to Pharping to visit Seto Gumba monastery and then Yanglesho cave, where Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) completed his meditation.
After enjoying lunch in a local restaurant, drive back toward Kathmandu.
On the way, stop at Chobhar to see Jal Vinayak, a temple of the Hindu God Ganesh.
Visit the hill town of Kirtipur in the southwestern part of Kathmandu. Walk through this hill town among old local buildings and temples, and enjoy a lovely view of Kathmandu city and the Himalayan ranges.
Drop off at the hotel by 17:00.
