4-Day Ashgabat and Darvaza Tour with Ancient Nisa and Kov-Ata

• Meet your Ashgabat tour guide at Ashgabat International Airport.

• Check in to a 4-star hotel and have breakfast.

• Take the Ancient Nisa tour. Old Nisa is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was one of the first capitals of the Parthian Empire (3rd century BC - 3rd century AD), one of the largest state entities of the ancient world.

• Visit the Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque in Gypjak. This is the main mosque in Turkmenistan, the largest single-domed mosque in the world, and one of the largest in Central Asia, where 20,000 people can pray at one time.

• Have lunch at a local restaurant.

• Drive to see the Kov-Ata underground lake. Kow-Ata, or Bakharden Lake, is a natural underground lake. Its name, translated from Turkmen, means "father of caves". Located 100 kilometres from Ashgabat, the water temperature remains between +33 and +38 °C all year round.

Have dinner at a local restaurant and stay overnight at the hotel.

• After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy some free time for shopping at Berkarar Shopping Mall.

• Have lunch and then drive through the Karakum Desert to reach the Darvaza gas crater (280 km).

• Arrive at Darvaza, the most famous place in Turkmenistan, located 280 km from Ashgabat. Here, you can see the gas crater burning in the Karakum Desert.

• Walk around the Spark of Karakum and have a traditional dinner at Darvaza.

• After an early breakfast, drive back to Ashgabat.

• On the way back, visit Yerbent village and have lunch with a Turkmen family.

• Arrive in Ashgabat.

• At night, proceed for a night tour of Ashgabat and see the Wedding Palace, Health Path, and Ferris Wheel.

• After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Eastern Bazaar "Altyn Asyr" (Tolkuchka). This is the largest market in Ashgabat and Turkmenistan, and the 5th largest in Central Asia, with more than 2,155 stores. The bazaar was also built in a carpet-like pattern of the Akhal velayat, covering a vast territory of 154 hectares.

• Have lunch at a local restaurant.

• Drive to the horse farm in Gokdepe. Explore the surrounding area and get familiar with the famous Akhalteke horses.

• Return to Ashgabat and have dinner at a local restaurant.

• Transfer to the international airport for your return flight.
