Day 01

Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, Kanbawzathadi Palace and Shwemawdaw Pagoda

05:00 - Pick up from your hotel and drive to Kyaiktiyo.
09:00 - Arrive at Kin Pun Sakhan and take a cable car ride to Kyaiktiyo Pagoda at the top of the mountain. On arrival, walk across a large platform to the Golden Rock and admire the beauty of this pilgrimage site. Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is recognized as one of the wonders of South East Asia by recent publications from tourism authorities in ASEAN countries.
12:00 - Return to Kin Pun Sakhan by cable car and have lunch at a local restaurant.
14:00 - Drive back to Bago and explore Kanbawzathadi Palace, built for King Bayinnaung in 1556 and consisting of 76 apartments.
Continue to Shwemawdaw Pagoda, referred to as the Golden God Temple.
17:00 - Return to Yangon.
19:00 - Arrive at your hotel.

Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is a well-known Buddhist pilgrimage site in Mon State, Burma. It is a small pagoda (7.3 metres/24 feet) built on top of a granite boulder covered with gold leaves pasted on by its male devotees.
Confirmation will be received at the time of booking unless booked within 3 days of travel. In this case, confirmation will be received within 48 hours, subject to availability.
Not wheelchair accessible.
Proper dress is required: no knees or shoulders showing. Dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected pagodas. No shorts or sleeveless tops are allowed. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. You risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
