Day 01

Nagarjun Hill Hike and Monasteries Tour

Start at 7:30 in the morning after breakfast, then take a short drive to the entrance of the hill, around 15-20 minutes from Thamel.
Continue hiking uphill through the forest along a clear trail. Right before the summit, there is a grassy field at the top of the hill with sharp black stones all around, but the view of the Kathmandu Valley makes the adventure worthwhile.
At the summit, witness small monasteries and a view tower. Every year on the full moon day of Baisakh, this hill becomes an important place for Buddhists, with big celebrations as crowds of people gather with the intention of reaching the summit of Nagarjun Hill.
Descend to the main entrance and transfer back to Thamel in your arranged car or jeep, depending on the group size.
