Horseback Safari Through Arusha National Park
Meet your guide and horses at the Ngongongare Gate of Arusha National Park and begin your horse ride through the forest. Enjoy close and private encounters with wildlife, fantastic scenery, and access to hidden forest paths that are only accessible on horseback. Riding time normally varies between 4 and 6 hours during the day.
Ride eastward to the "Little Serengeti" area, a grass plain that will surprise you with herds of buffalo, zebra, giraffe, and antelope. Pass one of the most scenic places in the area, overlooking the Momella Lakes, and on clear days you can spot Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru, or Maasailand to the south.
Stop at the park rest house and enjoy a delicious lunch.
Continue along a beautiful trail through the forest that ends at a dam. From there, follow trails hacked out of dense bush and forest for the horses. The "Little Serengeti" offers picture-perfect landscapes throughout this part of the ride.
Complete your exploration and head back to the exit gate of the national park.
Get transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
