Old Montreal Historical Walking Tour

• The exact sequence will depend on the time of year, the time of day, and the temperature.

  Visit the following places: St Paul Street, Rue St Jacques, Place d'Youville, Youville Stables, Place Royale, Cours le Royer, de la Commune, Place J. Cartier, Chateau de Ramsey, Centre d'Histoire, Auberge St Gabriel, Chapelle Bonsecours, Marché Bonsecours, Place d'Armes, Sulpician Seminary, Pointe à Callière, Bank of Montreal, and Notre Dame Basilica.

• Special stops can also be planned at places that are not easily accessible to other guides.

What's Included

• Services of Ruby, a licensed, certified Montreal expert professional English-speaking guide since 1992.
• Walking tour in Old Montreal for 1 to 15 guests per guide maximum.
• Concierge service by Ruby once the tour is booked.

• Entrance fees to the Notre Dame Basilica.

• Museum entrance fees.

• Food.

• Purchases of a personal nature.

• Please note that Montreal and Quebec City both have by-laws that require guides to be trained, hold a diploma, and be certified for each city. I do not offer walking tours in any other city in Canada except Montreal and Ottawa (on day trips only).

What to bring

• April to November: sunblock, hat, walking shoes, and a reusable water bottle.
• December to March: proper winter boots, hat, scarf, winter coat, sweater, and mittens. Note that mild temperatures from 5 to -10 C can still feel very humid, so proper socks are highly recommended.

Know before you go

• The tour begins in the lobby of the InterContinental Hotel in Old Montreal.
• The tour cost is per tour, not per person, for up to 15 persons.
• I conduct my own tours for groups of 1 to 15 guests.
• The Notre Dame Basilica has an entrance fee. It's a must-see, and the entrance fee must be paid directly.
• USD 600 per group for groups of 20 to 30 with 2 guides.
• USD 750 per group for groups of 30 to 45 with 2 guides.
• USD 875 per group for groups of 50 to 60 with 3 guides.
• USD 1075 per group for groups of 60 to 75 with 4 guides.
• For larger groups, other guides can be added - please let me know in advance.
