The itinerary

Day 01

Chullachaqui Lodge Arrival and Rainforest Night Walk

Depart from Iquitos and travel 97 kilometres (approximately 2 hours) up the Amazon River to Chullachaqui Lodge, located on the banks of the Rio Tapira, a small Amazon tributary. During the trip, you will have the opportunity to enjoy spectacular scenery along the mighty river and observe how local people live and make a living along the Amazon.
Upon arrival at the lodge, have a brief orientation with your guide.
After lunch, set out on an afternoon excursion to observe the local flora and fauna and learn about the medicinal plants of the rainforest. Dinner will be served at the lodge.
After dinner, enjoy a nighttime excursion to spot insects, amphibians, and other nocturnal animals.

Day 02

Sunrise Birdwatching and Dolphin Cruise

Start the day with birdwatching along the river in the early morning and enjoy an Amazon sunrise.
After breakfast, cruise along the Amazon River by peke-peke boat to spot pink and gray river dolphins.
After lunch, begin the return trip to Iquitos, where you will be transferred to your hotel or the airport.
