The itinerary

Day 01

Day 1

From the meeting point we’ll walk along the “Republique” avenue a representative Haussmannian architecture, before entering “Le Panier” neighborhood, the oldest one in Marseille and in France! We’ll pass by Marseille’s cathedral built in the 19th century, then your guide will lead you through the narrow and picturesque streets entirely painted by local artists. Inside this beautiful neighborhood we’ll see, among others, La Vieille Charité, La Place des Moulins, we’ll talk about the foundation of Marseille and it 2.600 years of existence. Once at la Place de Lenche, you will have the chance of getting in touch with the local culture thanks to a delightful Navettes and chocolate tasting, two typical products Made in Marseille. To end this tour, we’ll walk around Saint Laurent church, one of the oldest ones in the city and, standing there, with a great view over the Old Port and the Mucem, your guide will answer all your questions and give you precious information.

Lunch free time

Discovery of the Longchamp Palace, the Belle de Mai district, "La Friche" and the "Levat convent" and their art exhibitions and multiple activities en fonction of the season. Visit of the Rubé brewery and tasting of local beersVisit of the brewery and tasting of different styles of beer and crackers made from brewers' grains. Visit the garden where you will discover wild edible and medicinal plants. You will use your senses: you will observe, smell, touch, and enjoy the vegetables that we have in our garden. Day 02

Day 2

Artistic morning: photographic workshop, visiting one of the symbol icons of Marseille the basilica of "Notre Dame de la Garde" in the top of the hill, which gives a 360 degrees panoramic view of Marseille: a very complex and diverse identity. It is an inexhaustible subject for photography. Whether you like landscapes, architecture, street photography, portraits or art, your eye will find it interesting. Your guide Nico will assist you in the use of your camera, its understanding, the composition of your photographs and other technical points while discovering the secrets spots of this city. You will be able to participate in choosing your itinerary and your objects of attention in accordance with your envies and the circumstances of the moment.

After free lunch time,

We invite you to discover the exotic district of Noailles and its exotic market located in the heart of Marseille. Discover the origin of the world's most famous national anthem, know where the first cinema in history was located, visit 200-year-old stores that work in the same place and enter the colourful and lively market and its oriental spice shops where you can enjoy a traiditional menth tea. You will also feel the permanent drama and struggle of the inhabitants of the district against gentrification, substandard housing and the fear of being evicted from their homes in a contrasted renewing neighborhood. All accompanied by a young anthropologist guide living in the area. If still energy your will visit the creators disctrict and explore tiny colored taged street with very original handkraft souvenirs, bars and nice multicultural restaurants to planify your dinner.

Day 03

Day 3

Visite the museum of the famous Marseille soap "Savon de Marseille" 70% olive oil, and its numerous health benefits. Let's go for some traditional shopping and patisserie degustations in the chic side of the Old Port. Is moment for the street art tour with a singular guide to appreciate the new secrets of the city.

Free lunchtime

Whether you know how to play or not, the main thing is to spend a friendly moment around an ancestral game! We will start the activity by visiting the house of the bocce ball game "petanque", in the heart of the Panier, to get into the atmosphere. After an explanation on the origin of the game and the place visited, we will launch the hostilities a few cables away. It is on the esplanade of the Major that together, we will try our hand at the art of petanque. After an hour of intense play, it will be time for a well-deserved local aperitif! Good mood and friendliness will be the key words.
