Great Abydos Temple and Local Factory Visits
In an air-conditioned car, you will travel with your Egyptian guide in the morning to see the Great Abydos Temple, located about 180 km from Luxor. Your guide will explain the temple's significance in detail. One of its principal purposes was to serve as a memorial temple to King Seti I, as well as a place of reverence for the early pharaohs. The temple is mainly famous for an inscription from the 19th Dynasty known to the modern world as the Abydos King List. This is a chronological list showing the cartouches of most dynastic pharaohs of Egypt, from Menes to Seti I's father, Ramesses I.
Visit a Papyrus factory, an Alabaster factory, and a perfume factory.
Return to the hotel at sunset.
