The itinerary

Day 01

Litochoro to Spilios Agapitos Mountain Refuge

Meet at Litochoro town at noon in the Central Square for a briefing about the ascent.
Travel towards the trailhead at Prionia Station (1,100 m) via the forest road.
Hike through a pleasant forest trail towards Spilios Agapitos Mountain Refuge (2,100 m). During the hike, the guide will brief you on the fauna, flora, history, and mythology of Mt Olympus.
Arrive at the refuge and settle in, followed by a briefing about the next day's schedule. Overnight stay will be here.

Day 02

Summit Mitikas and Overnight at the Mountain Refuge

Have breakfast at the hut at 07:00 and attend a short briefing about the day's schedule.
Depart at 08:00 towards the summits and hike to the very top of Mt Olympus at Mitikas (2,918 m) to enjoy the stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. The last section to the summit involves easy climbing, and guests are roped in by the Mountain Guide using a harness and helmet.
Settle down at a mountain refuge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 03

Musses Plateau to Petrostruga and Return to Litochoro

Depart at 08:00 towards the north-side trail after breakfast.
Reach Petrostruga Hut and stop for a short break before continuing downhill on a hike towards the car park.
Enjoy views of the Musses Plateau here.
Drive back to Litochoro town.

Duration: 5 hours.

The Mountain Guide is in charge of the ascent and has the right to change the schedule or part of it - always in cooperation with the guests - in case of bad weather conditions, with the safety of the team members as the top priority.
The guide has the right to change the daily route or part of it in case of a sudden illness of a team member.
The guide has the right to interrupt or stop the schedule if a team member does not comply with the Mountain Guide's safety rules or if their actions put the rest of the team members in danger.
Participants have to respect the mountain's natural environment.
The terms above do not establish any liability for the Mountain Guide to refund the guiding fee or any part of it.
The schedule takes place in a mountain and alpine environment.
Hikes and climbs last 3 - 6 hours, and a good level of health is necessary.
An average level of physical condition is also required.
The Mountain Guide is not responsible for an accident beyond his responsibility or caused by a participant's ignorance or mistake.

Personal equipment required

Hiking backpack (25 - 30 litres), sneakers or hiking boots, long trousers and short ones, a warm pullover, beanie and light gloves, a second pair of underwear, rain jacket, a second pair of socks, 1 1/2 litres of water and snacks, personal equipment for the hut overnight stay, a small torch, sunglasses, and a sun hat.
