Lisbon Highlights from Alfama to Belém

• Visit the Alfama district, Lisbon's oldest quarter, and stroll through its cobblestone streets.

• Continue to Rossio Square, the historic centre of Lisbon, and listen to fascinating stories about the city's rise to fame in the 15th and 16th centuries, when explorers set out on maritime conquests.

• Head towards the Jerónimos Monastery and admire the extravagant Manueline architectural style that came to define the city.

• Experience the wonders of the Belém area, with a stop at Belém Tower, the departure point for some of the Portuguese maritime explorations, as well as the Monument to the Discoveries, built to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the death of Prince Henry the Navigator.
