Kathmandu Valley Durbar Squares and Boudhanath
Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and come across a wondrous cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards, and streets. The most noteworthy among them are the Hanuman Dhoka Palace complex and the Taleju Temple.
Explore Patan Durbar Square and see the concentration of marvelous monuments within a limited space.
Continue to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which lies in the eastern part of the Kathmandu Valley. Also known as Bhadgaon or Khwopa, Bhaktapur is regarded as the abode of ancient Nepali culture, customs, and alluring arts. Each historical monument here represents the medieval culture, religion, and customs of Nepal. Bhaktapur is also the only place in Nepal that has remained untouched by Western culture. See the Lion Gate, Golden Gate, Art Gallery, the statue of King Bhupatindra, the Nyatapola Temple, and the fifty-five windowed Malla Palace.
End the trip at Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
