The itinerary

Day 01

Arrival in Kigali and City Tour

Arrive at Kigali International Airport and meet your local tour guide for your transfer to Mille Colline Hotel.
Have lunch and go on a short Kigali city tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02

King's Palace, Ethnographic Museum, and Coffee Plantation

Enjoy breakfast and head to the southwest of Rwanda to visit museums such as the King's Palace Museum and the National Museum of Rwanda, also known as the Ethnographic Museum.
Continue to a local mountain coffee plantation for what is described as the best coffee taste in the world.

Overnight stay at Hill Top View Lodge.

Day 03

Nyungwe Canopy Walkway and Lake Kivu

Head to the Nyungwe Rain Forest headquarters for the canopy walkway.
Return to the hotel for a shower, rest, and lunch.
Set out for Kibuye to see Lake Kivu. This lake is one of the African Great Lakes. It lies on the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda and is in the Albertine Rift, the western branch of the East African Rift.

Day 04

Boat Ride on Lake Kivu and Transfer to Gisenyi

Enjoy fun boat rides on Lake Kivu.
Head to Gisenyi for check-in at Kivu Serena Hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 05

Gisenyi Tour, Hot Springs, and Return to Kigali

Start your day with a Gisenyi city tour, including a visit to the border area shared with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Proceed to Nyamyumba Hot Springs, situated about 7 km from Gisenyi town. Relax and soak in these waters, which are believed to have healing properties.
Return to your hotel for lunch, followed by drop-off at Kigali International Airport for your onward travels.
