The itinerary

Day 01

Singapore to Malacca Heritage Discovery

  • 8am meet and greet at your Singapore hotel lobby. Transfer to the Johore Bahru Immigration Checkpoint for clearance.
  • On arrival in Malacca, visit Dutch Square and the Stadthuys, once the Governor's home and now a museum.
  • Visit St. Peter's Church, built in 1710, the oldest Catholic church.
  • Explore St. Paul's Hill, dating to 1521, where Fr. Francis Xavier first preached in 1545.

  • Proceed to Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, built in 1704, the oldest Chinese temple, with Chinese mythological figurines. The temple professes three doctrines - Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism.

  • Stroll through Jonkers' Street, the street of antiquities reflecting Malacca's rich past. See porcelain of Chinese origin, Indian brassware, Dutch cupboards, kerosene lamps, brass beds, old coins, and much more.

  • Pay a visit to A'Famosa, built in 1512 by the Portuguese, later damaged and repaired by the Dutch, and again destroyed by the British. The gateway still stands due to the timely intervention of Sir Stamford Raffles in 1810.

Day 02

Malacca to Kuala Lumpur and Batu Caves

8am depart for Kuala Lumpur and visit the iconic Batu Caves, a temple of a Hindu deity honored during festivals. Climb 272 steps to the temple. Ladies are required to cover their knees and shoulders. Visit colonial landmarks such as the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Jamek Mosque, St. Mary's Cathedral, the clubhouse, and the railway station, then drive to colorful Little India and bustling Chinatown. Day 03

Kuala Lumpur to Taman Negara Rainforest

8am depart for Taman Negara, a 130-million-year-old tropical rainforest with endangered tigers, elephants, tapirs, snakes, deer, 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species, and scattered aborigine colonies. Check in to your hotel. Free and easy.

7pm join a Nature Guide for a night jungle walk to spot civet cats, slow loris, snakes, scorpions, birds, and other nocturnal animals that come to the man-made salt licks. Return to your hotel. Free and easy.

Day 04

Taman Negara Trekking, River Journey, and Waterfall

8am depart for a tour of Taman Negara with a Nature Guide, who will take you trekking to the viewpoint for a stunning view of Gunung Tahan, Malaysia's highest mountain. Catch a boat as the boatman negotiates gushing waters to reach an aborigine village. Watch fire-making and blowpipe demonstrations done the native way.

You can interact with the villagers through the Nature Guide and also take part in the activities. They are naive people, and the Nature Guide will share facts and taboos of Taman Negara as he leads you trekking again to a rainforest waterfall for a cool dip - a therapeutic stress reliever. Day 05

Taman Negara to Cameron Highlands

7am depart for Cameron Highlands, a hill resort with large tea plantations, farmlands, and scattered aborigine colonies. Visit a tea plantation and sip tea from an elevated tea cafe while watching the rolling hills below. There will be plenty of photo opportunities. Visit the Butterfly Farm and the vegetable market to see the various vegetables, fruits, and flowers grown in the Camerons.

Proceed to the cactus and flower gardens. You could also visit a strawberry farm. Check in to your hotel. Free and easy.

Day 06

Cameron Highlands to Penang Island

8am depart for Penang Island with an en route bonus stop at Orangutan Island, subject to availability. Once on Penang Island, visit Clan Jetty, Fort Cornwallis, and the Sleeping Buddha, and drive through George Town, a UNESCO Heritage city.

Batu Feringghi is a happening beach front with many hotels, good restaurants, water sports, and night markets. Enjoy the sun, sea, and sands of Batu Feringghi, and you will not regret it. Drop off at your hotel. Free and easy. End of program.

Penang also boasts a good international airport, and you can make bookings for your next destination.
