Day 01

Arrival Transfer to Lake Duluti Lodge in Arusha

  • Transfer to Lake Duluti Lodge after pick-up from the airport.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided here.

Day 02

Fly to Kogatende and Explore the Mara River

  • Drive to Arusha Airstrip and board your chartered flight to Kogatende Airstrip.
  • After arriving, explore the park and drive along the Mara River to see hippopotamuses and crocodiles on the riverbank.

Overnight will be at the luxury tented camp.

Day 03

Full-Day Game Drive to Follow the Great Migration

  • Go for a full-day game drive in the northern Serengeti Kogatende area and follow the Great Annual Migration at the Mara River.
  • Drive to the camp for evening leisure, a hot dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 04

Another Day Tracking the Great Migration

  • Take another game drive and continue to follow the Great Annual Migration at the Mara River for the whole day.
  • Drive to the camp for evening leisure, a hot dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 05

Travel to Central Serengeti via Lobo Valley

  • Set off for central Serengeti National Park, passing by the Lobo Valley hills to see the plains of the central and southern Serengeti.

Overnight stay at Serengeti Oleserai Luxury Tented Camp or Serengeti Kubu Luxury Tented Camp.

Drive to Ngorongoro Crater

  • Drive toward the Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest volcanic caldera, formed three million years ago and considered one of Africa's most remarkable geological sites. Enjoy views of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Dinner and overnight will be at Ngorongoro Endoro Coffee Lodge.

Day 07

Full-Day Game Viewing in Ngorongoro Crater

  • Return to Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. It is home to a unique ecosystem of more than 25,000 animals. In the grass steppes and acacia forests, you will find almost every type of animal from the East African savannah.
  • After that, proceed to Karatu town.

Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Tloma Lodge.

Day 08

Explore Lake Manyara and Continue to Tarangire

  • Drive to Lake Manyara National Park and be captivated by its rich and diverse wildlife.
  • Proceed to Tarangire National Park for dinner and an overnight stay at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge outside the park.

Day 09

Morning Game Drive in Tarangire and Departure

  • Go on a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, the third-largest national park in Tanzania. This park covers an area of 2,600 sq km, and its numerous baobab trees will definitely catch your eye.
  • Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.

Know before you go

  • Make a checklist of animals you want to photograph.

  • If your connecting flight is from Nairobi, Kenya, please make sure you have $50 for your transit visa and a Yellow Fever certificate, as they are required for all visitors entering Kenya.

  • A Tanzania tourist visa can be purchased upon arrival at the airport. However, we recommend obtaining your Tanzania visa before arrival to avoid spending extra time in long immigration queues. The Tanzania visa costs $100 for all American citizens.
