Start with the Alexandria Library, the second biggest library in the world. The New Library of Alexandria or the New Bibliotheca Alexandrina is dedicated to recapture the spirit of openness and scholarship of the original Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It is much more than a library.

After lunch, visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, meaning underground tunnels or the underground rock-cut tomb which dated back to the Roman time. The cemetery dates back to the 1st century AD and was used until the 4th century A.D. It was discovered in 1900 when by pure chance, a donkey-drawn cart fell into a pit, which led to the discovery.
Then proceed to the Roman amphitheatre, the open-air museum for sunken monuments well-preserved theatre with galleries, sections of mosaic-flooring, and marble seats for up to 800 spectators.
