Day 01

Arusha to Marangu Gate, Mandara Huts and Maundi Crater

Pick up from your hotel in Arusha and transfer to Marangu Gate in the national park.
Climb through the lush rainforest ecosystem.
Hike to Mandara Huts at an altitude of 2,700 m.
Stop for lunch.
Take a short walk to view Maundi Crater, from where you can see Mawenzi Peak and Kibo Peak, the summit.
Witness the variety of fauna and flora found in the national park, including the Black and White colobus monkey and the Kilimanjaro passionflower, unique to the ecosystem of Kilimanjaro.
Return to Marangu Gate.
