Orongo, Rano Kau, Moai Statues and Petroglyphs

  • Explore Easter Island (Rapa Nui in the native language) with your first stop at Orongo, the stone village, with your tour guide.

  • Proceed to see the Rano Kau volcano, a 324 m tall extinct volcano.

  • See a crater lake, one of the island's three natural bodies of freshwater.

  • Continue towards the famed Moai statues. These statues were carved by the Rapa Nui people years ago and feature human faces.

  • Learn about the Birdman cult, which helped decide a leader for the Rapa Nui people in earlier times.

  • End the trip with stops at Ahu Vinapu and Ahu Tahai. Ahu Vinapu is an archaeological site known for its stonemasonry, and Ahu Tahai is an old settlement area of archaeological importance.
