Experience three of Tanzania's most iconic safari areas on this 6-day journey through the Manyara region, the Crater Highlands, the southern Serengeti Ndutu region, and Tarangire National Park. Enjoy game drives across diverse landscapes, from the Great Rift Valley system and Ngorongoro Crater to the vast plains of the Serengeti. Look for a wide variety of wildlife in the southern Ndutu region, spot the Big Five in Ngorongoro, and see elephant herds up close in Tarangire.
If it is around the middle of February or the beginning of March, you will be able to witness the calving season, when approximately 8,000 wildebeest are born every day for a period of about 3 weeks.

The itinerary
Day 02
Lake Manyara Game Drive and Rift Valley Highlands
Transfer to Lake Manyara for a morning game drive and lunch.
Enjoy a final glimpse of the great wilds of Northern Tanzania. Lake Manyara offers an insight into the Great Rift Valley system and the adaptation of many herd animals and magnificent birdlife.
Continue to the Rift Valley Escarpment and the Rift Valley highlands for an overnight stay at Endoro Safari Lodge.
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 03
Ndutu Game Drive and Journey to Central Serengeti
Go for a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region. If it is around the middle of February or the beginning of March, you will be able to witness the calving season, when approximately 8,000 wildebeest are born every day for a period of about 3 weeks.
Have lunch and continue with another afternoon game drive in Southern Serengeti before driving to the open grasslands of central Serengeti National Park for your overnight stay.
Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Green Hills Tented Camp.
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Day 04
Full-Day Wildlife Viewing in Central Serengeti
Spend another full day exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti. The tented camp is permanent, allowing for optimal wildlife-viewing activities while still being close to the central Serengeti areas.
Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Green Hills Tented Camp.
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 05
Ngorongoro Crater Safari and Transfer to Karatu
Travel along the adventurous trail that takes you into the crater. Grass steppes and acacia forests are home to almost all the species of animals found in the East African savannah.
Get a chance to spot the Big Five - lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros and leopard.
Have a picnic lunch in the crater.
Leave the highlands of Ngorongoro in the afternoon and travel back to Karatu.
Spend a night at Tloma Lodge.

Day 06
Tarangire National Park Safari and Return to Arusha
Head to Tarangire National Park. Giant baobab trees, the bush savannah, and the seasonal marshes add to the wonder of this nature reserve. The park covers approximately 2600 sq. km and is roughly the size of Luxembourg. Tarangire National Park is considered one of the best places in East Africa to see elephants up close. One reason is that there are approximately 4000 animals in the region, and another is that the elephants are not too bothered by the presence of motor vehicles.
Observe the elephants and also get a chance to see the beautiful Maasai giraffe, various gazelles and antelopes, buffalo, lions, leopards, baboons, and more than a hundred different species of birds.
Leave the park in the afternoon and drive to Arusha Town for your dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
