Guangzhou Landmarks, Heritage and Shopping
Pick up from the hotel at 8:30 and visit Canton Tower. It is the highest TV tower in China and the third highest in the world.
Continue to Huacheng Square, also known as Flower City Square, located in Guangzhou's CBD. It is an excellent place for photographing numerous modern and cultural skyscrapers such as CTF Finance Centre, IFC Tower, Guangdong Museum, Guangzhou Library, and Guangzhou Opera House.
Make your way to Chen Clan Academy, built in 1890 during the Qing Dynasty. It houses a large collection of wood, stone, and brick carvings, as well as pottery and iron engravings. It represents traditional Chinese architecture and decoration styles, also known as Lingnan Culture.
At 12:00, visit SunYat-Sen Memorial Hall, built in 1931 with funds from Guangzhou citizens and overseas Chinese.
Lunch time at 13:00.
Explore Yuexiu Park, located in downtown Guangzhou. It features the Five-Rams Statue, one of the symbolic sites of Guangzhou, as well as the Guangzhou Museum and beautiful lakes and hills.
At 16:00, stroll through Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street. This area is popular with foreign tourists for shopping and delicious food and snacks.
